Non-Tax National Revenue from Marine Spatial Management Reaches IDR 707 Billion in 2023

The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) recorded Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) from the marine space management sector of IDR 707 billion or 212 percent of the target set for 2023 of IDR 333 billion.

"The largest revenue of around 67 percent was received from the Approval of Conformity of Marine Spatial Utilization Activities (PKKPRL)," said Director General of Marine and Marine Spatial Management (Dirjen PKRL) Victor Gustaaf Manoppo in his statement, Sunday, January 21 2024.

Victor also explained that the total budget of the Directorate General of PKRL for 2023 amounting to IDR 413 billion could be realized up to 96.53 percent. If we look at the budget posture in 2023, the PNBP of the Directorate General of PKRL can even exceed the budget of the Directorate General of PKRL for a year.

"The 2024 PNBP target has been set at IDR 708 billion, but at the end of 2023 we will mandatorily get an additional target sourced from marine natural resources in the form of managing sedimentation in the sea amounting to IDR 1.7 trillion," he said.

"So our total PNBP target in 2024 is 2.4 trillion rupiah. "With this significant increase in target, we must remain optimistic and highly committed so that this target can be achieved," he added.

Victor also requested that reconciliation in the preparation of financial reports be a forum for synchronizing and compiling financial data at the work unit level.

In addition, he encourages the provision of relevant information regarding the financial position and all transactions carried out by a reporting entity during a reporting period so that it can produce accountable financial reports in accordance with Government Accounting Standards.

"The fairness of the Financial Reports of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, one of which is determined by the fairness of the financial reports of work units and Echelon 1," he stressed.

"Therefore, every work unit must carry out reconciliation and preparation of financial reports seriously and carefully so as to produce financial reports that are accurate, reliable and supported by the resolution of financial accountability in accordance with applicable regulations," he explained.

In line with the policy of the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, all KKP units continue to be committed to implementing the blue economy policy implementation roadmap to create sustainable marine management in Indonesia.
